Sur-terre.net is a variable fiction about the train, the displacement, the exile and 3 characters.
Sur-terre.net is interactive, generative and mix more than 800 000 database medias with externals medias (Google, Flickr, Youtube). Every navigation changes the story for the others internauts.

Many musicians like Scanner, Fennesz, Atau Tanaka, Francisco López, Christophe Charles, Steve Roden, Heller, Vladislav Delay, Abstrackt Keal Agram, Tim Hecker,, Robert Babicz, Hazard, Pure, Pita, General Magic, create original sountrack for this narrative project produced by Arte cinema for the Internet and the television.

Les fragments d’une histoire dont l’internaute peut retrouver les traces.
Le récit est incertain.

Les lieux des décors sont là . Les personnages sont partis.
Il reste des voix, des photos déchirées et dehors, loin dans la ville, le flux du réseau.

Biography

Born in Paris (France).
Founding member of http://www.incident.net in 1994. Between 1995-98 he designs with the assistance of deportees the CD-Rom “Memories of the deportation”. In 1997 he conceives the site of the Medicis Villa then in 1999 the site of the Pompidou Center for his reopening.

He is an artist in residence in the International Center of Video Creation (1998-2001), C ³ of Budapest (2001), the Abbey of Fontevraud (2002), in Fresnoy (2003-04) where he teaches the same year (http://www.le-fresnoy.tm.fr). In 2006-07 he is teacher at UQAM (Montreal).

Prize winner of the Villa Medicis les Inclassable in Montreal (2002-03), various prices: SACD (2000), FilmWinter (2001), Sound Space (2001), Computer Space (2001), Viper (2001), Videoformes (2003), SCAM (2004)

Poetisch. Mir gefällt die Visualisierung des Unterschieds zwischen Zuhause und Unterwegs. Der Titel changiert das Thema Zuhause, Ort, Präsenz. Einsatz für Receiver: Ohne Adaption möglich. Einer meiner Favoriten.
